Tom and Cindy Lum of Portland, OR are the grand prize winners of Penguin Windows $25,000. Thank You Celebration Sweepstakes. The Lum’s won $15,000 in Penguin Windows installed as well as $10,000 in cash.
Tom entered the sweepstakes on a whim during a trip to the A-Boy Supply on Barbur Avenue in Portland, and was very pleasantly surprised to learn that he had won. The Lum’s are familiar with Penguin Windows because Cindy’s parents had Penguin Windows installed in their home in Raymond, WA about two years ago. “They love them,” Cindy said, “They are beautiful.”
The prize couldn’t have come a better time for the Lum’s as they just closed on a house in February and are currently getting ready to remodel their new home. “Having our house so close to the freeway, we are concerned about the noise, especially when we’re trying to sleep,” Tom says. Lucky for the Lum’s triple pane Penguin Windows are excellent at keeping outside noise where it belongs—outside.

Ms. Waldron lives in La Conner, WA. In November she was laid off from her job at a local dress shop. She recently found a part time job, but her winnings will greatly help her. Her daughter Zoe is starting at a local university this fall, and the money will go toward helping pay Zoe’s expenses as well. With the remainder of her winnings she plans on taking a train trip with her sister to North Dakota to visit the remains of the generations-old family homestead for the first time. Ms. Waldron is familiar with Penguin Windows because she has seen our trucks as well as our commercials. She entered the contest on a whim and never expected to win.
